Summary description of project:
The terrain Pitt is a former industrial site of 2.4 hectares acquired by the City of Montreal and located alongside the Lachine Canal. On the eastern part of the ground, MCEBR has set up a multifunctional experimental station dedicated to the problem of soil and groundwater contamination. The City of Montreal has altered the western part to allow the public to pass through the site. The contamination has been kept in place, allowing the site to be used as an in-situ testing facility.
