Innovative Remediation Solutions Workshop on Quebec Federal sites

The Federal Contaminated Sites Action Plan (FCSAP) was initiated in 2003 to assist Federal Departments and Agencies in their efforts to manage risks associated with federal contaminated sites, especially those that pose the greatest risk to human health and the environment. The program has a total budged of $3,5 billion over 15 years. The Federal custodians Departments of the sites involved wish to meet the Industry and Research representatives to explain their needs, discuss about innovative remediation technologies and explore actions that could help them to achieve the Federal Sustainable Development Goals and Objectives. MCEBR is responsible for the organization of the workshop that will be held in Montreal for the Quebec region.

The invitation to attend concerns particularly the following:

  • Federal Ministries and Agencies and Crown Societies custodians of the 1711 federal sites recorded in Quebec;
  • Industry Representatives proposing innovative technologies;
  • Research Representatives.

The program will start on Thursday November 22nd at 8H30 and will end at 11H30 on November 23rd , 2007.

The Workshop encompasses:

Day 1 AM: Cases studies on real situations encountered by the custodians bodies and Presentation of solutions proposed by selected technology holders
Day 1 PM: Cases studies and Federal Call for Tenders
Day 2 AM: Barriers and Challenges to the use of innovative technologies at federal sites

Plus:

  • Invited Speakers (to be announced)

  • Business meetings and networking
  • Cocktail after 5 on Day 1

Registration:
For the attendance to the Workshop, luncheon and conference on Day 1, beverages, business meetings with Federal Representatives, attendance to the Trade Show and Posters Display.

After October 26, 2007: $225 (plus taxes)      Pre-registration: $175 (plus taxes)
